Sholawat Badar is a poem of praise for the prophet created by the NU or Nahdlatul Ulama kiai.
“The sholawat was written by Kiai Ali Manshur, when he was in Banyuwangi. At that time, he was the Head of the NU Banyuwangi Branch, also the Head of the Ministry of Religion,” said Saiful Islam who wrote the book Sang Buat Sholawat Badar: KHR. Ali Manshur as reported by the Hikmah Team detikcom.

Sholawat Badar apparently has a special position in the history of the Indonesian nation. During the rebellion of September 30, 1965, Sholawat Badar was used by NU cadres to encourage themselves and as a distinguishing symbol with the Genjer-Genjer Song. At that time, Genjer-Genjer was identical to the PKI.

Meaning:
“The mercy and safety of Allah, may it remain for the Prophet the Messenger of Allah.
Mercy and safety of Allah, may it remain for Prophet Yasin beloved of Allah.

We inherited with the blessings of Basmalah, and with the Prophet who anointed the messenger of Allah.
And all those who fight for Allah, because His blessings are good, O Allah.

O Allah, may You save the Ummah from disasters and torture.
And from difficulties and hardships, because his blessings are expert badar, O Allah.

O Allah, may You save us from everything that hurts, and may You keep us away from the various deceptions of the enemies.
And may You have mercy on us, for His blessings are abundant, O Allah.

O Allah, may You keep away some trouble, from those who are sinful and do damage.
And may You remove all disasters and epidemics of disease, because His blessings are abundant, O Allah.

Then much grace has arrived, and much reality has been removed.
And already many of the blessings that have arrived, because his blessing is bad, O Allah.

How many times have You given wealth to the prosperous, and how many times have You given favor to the poor.
And how many times do You forgive sinners, for His blessings are abundant, O Allah.

It is the heart of man that feels cramped on this vast land, because of the many terrible marabahaya and devastating calamities.
May Allah save us from terrible disasters, because his blessings are ahly badar ya Allah.

We come by asking for help, and asking for kindness and blessings.
May Allah extend abundant blessings, because his blessings are great, O Allah.

Therefore do not deny us from loss, even make ourselves can do good deeds and always be happy.
O Dzat who has greatness and majesty, because his blessings are badar ya Allah.

O Allah, may You forgive all our mistakes and honor us with some supplication.
And reject our mistakes, because his blessing is great, O Allah.

O Allah, You are the Most Merciful, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
There have been many difficulties that stem from the blessings of the Companions of Badr, O Allah.

And may You abundantly bless the Prophet who always devotes to You with an abundance of blessings and prosperity that is countless and countless.
And may it remain on the family of the Prophet and the Sayyids who shine his light, because his blessing is great, O Allah.

That’s the prayer of Badar that contains praise to the Prophet Muhammad SAW and also the Companions who fell in the Battle of Badar.
